Respect the Ride

To ensure Everett Transit is a safe and welcoming place for all riders, please Respect the Ride.

  • Children ages 5 and under must be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.
  • Animals must be on a leash at all times. Pets must be on your lap or on the floor of the bus. Animals may not occupy a customer seat. Learn more about riding with animals.
  • Hazardous materials on the bus are prohibited by law. This includes gas cans, car batteries, propane tanks, and similar items.
  • Shoes, shirts and pants are required at all times.
  • Use headphones or earbuds with your mobile device.
  • Be respectful of others ― do not engage in disruptive or offensive behavior.
  • No smoking or vaping on the bus at any time.
  • No smoking or vaping within 25 feet of bus doors.
  • If you have a question for the bus operator, please wait until the bus is stopped to ask.
  • Always remain behind the yellow line when the bus is in motion.
  • Do not lay down or take up more than one seat for you and your belongings.
  • Do not destroy or deface transit property.
  • Do not use aerosol sprays or fragrances that trigger others’ allergies.
  • No weapons are allowed in bus shelters, stations, or any other transit facilities except as provided for by law.
